LOST FOREST has captured a miniature wildflower landscape within a magical gilded Looking Glass. The diminutive scene was created by LOST FOREST botanical artist Gillian Corcoran. Each Looking Glass is expertly composed over several days, using miniature foraged native botanicals and fungi. Gillian has lovingly grown and harvested these finds from her cottage garden and farm hedgerows. They are preserved by her over several weeks using her finely honed techniques to ensure they retain their colour and distinctive form.

Gillian uses tweezers to ‘paint’ her wildflower landscapes, and she meticulously builds a scene which is composed of the tiniest natural finds one can forage from nature. With her signature sprinkling of gold leaf within each piece, Gillian mimics swirling pollen particles caught on a breeze. The final result is a bespoke Looking Glass; a wearable art piece which reveals an enchanting secret world to those who peer in.

A bespoke Looking Glass from the classic collection that celebrates the beauty of the Irish woodlands. These dynamic scenes feature real skeleton leaves that Gillian expertly preserved in early autumn. She has dyed the delicate leaves in an array of glittering tones; gold, silver and copper. Both sides of the leaf feature a whirlwind of dazzling 24K rose, 24k gold leaf, or 925 silver leaf and iridescent glass glitter that dances with each movement you make. The result is a mesmerising piece of wearable art.
