They formed an integral part of local folklore, often used in herbal remedies, intertwined into regional customs, and otherworldly tales involving the Aos Sídhe or fairy folk.

The Maidens of Folklore collection is inspired by the power of the natural world and the elemental forces that bind us to it. Each gemstone represents an Irish wildflower, and the compelling lore and positive attributes it possesses.

'Maiden of the Pennywort’

The native Pennywort or Lus na pingine is a common sight in the marsh lands of Ireland. In folklore they are symbolic of perseverance and good fortune. Chrysocolla is a striking stone that holds complimentary symbolism, and is believed to empower those who wear it. It’s also known as the ‘wise stone’ or the ‘teaching stone’.

The softly faceted droplets are fair trade sourced and dance gracefully from handcrafted 14k gold filled ear wires. The ear wires are set with dazzling genuine AAA grade amethyst gemstones.
